Sharks ended the season with a narrow 27-24 win over Bath.

Tries from Solomona, Ben Curry and Charnley saw them win a pulsating game to round off a topsy turvy season in style.

British Swimming Championships 2017

Sheffield hosted the Nationals this year with many of GB's top stars in attendance.

'The British Swimming Championships 2017 is the highlight of the national events calendar. As British Swimming enters a new Olympic cycle, athletes who shone at Rio 2016 will be taking to the pool again for the title of British Champion, as well as there being a new focus on the next group of athletes to rise to the challenge and take the top performances.'

Sharks record bonus point win over Worcester Warriors

In an entertainig and free flowing game, Sale Sharks scored five tries eventually winning 36-26.

Sam James was a worthy man of the match scoring the first two tries, the second being Sale's 1000th try in the Premiership.

Mike Haley, Byron McGuigan and Ben Curry all added to the try tally.

Artistic Gymnastics British Championships 2017

The Echo Arena again hosted three days of artistic gymnastics organsied by British Gymnastics.

With some of our top gymnasts 'resting' between Olympic and Commonwealth championship years, 2017 provided the opportunity for new stars to ascend.

Olympian Ellie Downie took the overall women's title with Joe Frazer taking the senior men's title just a year after winnning the junior title.

There were many great performances over the three days indicating that future medal success should be assured.

National Table Tennis Championships 2017

England Table Tennis hosted the British Nationals at Nottingham University's superb new indoor sports facility.

Over three days, 3-5th March, the best British players battled for natonal titles.

Finals day Sunday saw Paul Drinkall win the mens singles, the mens doubles with Liam Pitchford and the mixed doubles with his wife Joanna.

Tin Tin Ho had won all three title last year, but lost out to the Drinkall's in the mixed with her partner Sam Walker. She did however retain her other two titles, the singes and the doubles with Maria Tsaptsinos.
